Currently, four cities in Arizona have ordinances prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in public and private sector employment, but approximately 67% of Arizona’s workforce is not covered by these laws.

additional staff Arizona Arizona Civil Rights Arizona’s workforce different sex marriages employment discrimination Employment Discrimination LOS gender identity gender identity discrimination Lack Statewide Protections LGBT people lgbt workers median income private sector employers private sector employment recent national survey sexual orientation statewide non-discrimination law civil rights Equality Tue, 06 Jan 2015 23:52:17 +0000 ONE Community 6252 at http://www.onecommunity.co Approximately 119,000 LGBT Workers in Arizona Lack Statewide Protections against Ongoing Employment Discrimination ONE Community Marriage Equality Is a National Issue, And So the Time Has Come for Our National Court to Address It http://www.onecommunity.co/blog/2015/02/marriage-equality-national-issue-and-so-the-time-has-come-our-national-court-address-it

The Supreme Court has been reluctant to jump into the question of same-sex marriage, preferring to let the issue percolate through state-by-state litigation in the lower federal courts.
