COTTONWOOD, AZ (CBS5) -
Cottonwood on Tuesday night became the fifth Arizona municipality to allow same-sex civil unions.
Jerome, Sedona, Bisbee and Tucson have passed similar ordinances.
Cottonwood City Council members approved the motion 6-1 Tuesday night.
Jesse Dowling made the motion to approve the civil unions ordinance and said, "I was the first to give the dissenting voter a great big hug.
"You can have different views and still get along and care for on another," Dowling said. Read more »
