Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC) is a federally funded primary healthcare facility with five locations serving the metropolitan Phoenix area. With 200,000 medical encounters per year and 55,000 patients, we have built a reputation for providing affordable primary care in medically underserved communities for the last 30 years.

The janitorial services for our clinics are an integral piece of our ability to provide quality healthcare to our patients. Mountain Park is soliciting for Proposals to provide janitorial services for our locations listed below:

US Senate to Take Binding Vote on Marketplace Fairness Act Next Week

Thanks to your phone calls and messages, the United States Senate overwhelmingly endorsed the Marketplace Fairness Act by a vote of 75-24 as an amendment to the budget resolution last month. This was great news, as this test vote showed there is significant support for leveling the playing field between brick-and-mortar retailers and remote or online sellers (read more details about the legislation here).

Next week, the Senate will hold its final binding vote on the Marketplace Fairness Act as a stand-alone bill. As an Arizona business owner, we need your help to ensure that Arizona Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake support the Marketplace Fairness Act in this important vote. Read more »

Griner hopes to have LGBT impact

Before they were college basketball stars and the future of the WNBA, Brittney Griner, Skylar Diggins and Elena Delle Donne had something else in common: They were all bullied when they were kids.

The top three picks in the WNBA draft talked to The Associated Press about a variety of topics Wednesday, including how standing out in a crowd wasn't always easy.

''It was hard. Just being picked on for being different. Just being bigger, my sexuality, everything,'' said the 6-foot-8 Griner, who acknowledged she is a lesbian. ''I overcame it and got over it. Definitely something that I am very passionate about. I want to work with kids and bring recognition to the problem, especially with the LGBT community.'' Read more »

Phoenix Gay & Lesbian Chamber Released Business Equality Survey

PHOENIX (April 15, 2013)--Today the Greater Phoenix Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (GPGLCC) announced the results of its six-month survey measuring how equitably local business treat their Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) employees. Valley businesses with up to 500 employees, government agencies with more than 500 employees and local offices of larger companies were invited to participate. Nineteen employers scored a 100 on the survey and 45 scored an 80 percent or higher. In addition to publishing the results, the GPGLCC has produced a buying guide of companies that embrace diversity.
